The Desert-Mountain Division Gang Unit secured a guilty verdict in the case of Tajay Johnson and Kevin Harriston (pictured left) who—along with two other individuals—carjacked a victim. The defendants drove the victim to an ATM where he was forced to give up his card and PIN to get money.
After this theft, Defendant Harriston repeatedly used the stun gun on the victim causing burn marks throughout the victim’s body, including the victim’s face. The defendants then drove the victim to Las Vegas, where they repeated the theft. Fortunately, the victim was able to escape and call the police and three of the four individuals were identified and arrested.
During testimony, the victim told the jurors that when the stun gun was used on him he felt like he was less than human.
