SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – As part of National Public Service Recognition Week, Deputy District Attorney Kurt Rowley was recognized by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors today in the government center chambers.

Once a year, one employee from each participating county department is selected for an Award for Excellence, based on outstanding service to county and its citizens.

Rowley, who has been a Deputy District Attorney since 1997, currently oversees the Child Abduction Unit (CAU) of the District Attorney’s Office.

During the course of his time in the CAU, Rowley has worked closely with INTERPOL and other international agencies to resolve hundreds of child abduction disputes within the United States as well as children taken from all parts of the world.

“Reuniting children with their parents is a passion for Kurt,” said District Attorney Mike Ramos. “Because of his hard work, ethics and dedication to what he does day in and day out, this county is a better place.”
